Prezados: As redes sociais vieram p´ra ficar, isso é INEGÁVEL! Mas é uma pena o que os brasileiros (ou os que SE DIZEM brasileiros) têm feito com elas... Um exemplo típico é o (pobre) Orkut. Mesmo com os esforços do Orkut Büyükkoktten (Sim. É ALGUÉM! O criador da ferramenta) e da equipe do Google em mantê-la, no mínimo, "frequentável", o povo tem-na "estragado"! Não bastassem os vírus (criados em JavaScript) e as dúzias de mensagens não-solicitadas a respeito de "certas" exibições frente a uma câmera, há assuntos mais pesados como apologia ao ódio e às drogas, pedofilia, brigas marcadas, racismo... Perdeu-se, aí, o sentido de uma rede social, que era o projeto do Orkut (o "cara" que, modestamente, deu seu nome à ferramenta...)
